Functioning is the human ability to perform activities, so individuals may take care of themselves and interact independently with society. Disability is the restriction or lack of the ability to develop normal functions. Both are conceived originating from the dynamic interaction between health conditions and contextual factors.
ICD11 includes an assessment instrument developed by the WHO to provide a standardized method for measuring health and disability across cultures. It was developed from a comprehensive set of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)
These codes are aimed for public health, doctors, rehabilitation, physical therapists and occupational therapists, health-policy planners, social scientists involved in studies on disability and health.
